We were delighted to be able to demonstrate our Hydrogen for Mobility capabilities in the Dubai Expo 2020 by joining with the Toyota and Japan pavilion. Air Products Middle East has actively participated in the event by supplying hydrogen and providing a mobile dispensing station to Toyota Motor Company throughout the event. This served as a major milestone for UAE in the use of hydrogen for mobility and achieving zero carbon emissions in line with the UAE's future vision.

World-Scale Hydrogen Production Projects
World’s Largest Carbon Capture for Sequestration Facility
Air Products will invest $4.5B to build-own-operate the world’s largest blue hydrogen production facility, producing over 750 MMSCFD of blue hydrogen in Louisiana, USA. A portion of the blue hydrogen will be compressed and supplied to customers by our U.S. Gulf Coast pipeline network; the balance will be used to make blue ammonia that will be transported around the world and converted back to blue hydrogen for transportation and other markets.
The megaproject will also capture over five million metric tons per year of CO₂, making it the largest carbon capture for sequestration facility in the world. Numerous studies have shown that Louisiana’s geology is some of the best in the world for permanent geologic sequestration.
The project is expected to be operational in 2026.
LEADING THE WAY WITH A BLUE HYDROGEN HUB IN WESTERN CANADA
Our hydrogen energy complex in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada will make the area the center of western Canada’s and the Pacific Northwest's hydrogen economy. The complex will produce enough liquid hydrogen to fuel every public transit agency across Alberta. Better yet, the combination of our advanced hydrogen technology, carbon capture and storage, and hydrogen-fueled power generation makes it possible to operate the facility with a net-zero carbon footprint.
